Hey There! My name is Sharlynn and this is My Girl Sunday. We live on a farm in a small town in middle Tennessee along with my husband Pat, a gaggle of goats, ducks, chickens and of course, dogs. We are animal lovers! Our dogs are not just pets, they are truly members of our family. They not only take up more of our bed than we do, when we go the store, take a ride on the Kubota, go on vacation, on the boat, on the 4 wheeler (get the picture) they are included! One look from those soulful eyes and you can't help but say "OK! C’MON!"
The addition of "Doodles" to our family has been one of the best decisions we have ever made! Over my lifetime I have had Poodles, Cockers, Labrador Retrieves and Golden Retrievers, and I love so many things about all of those breeds, but in my (and many others) opinion, the "Doodle" takes the best of each of the Poodle and the Retriever and makes a no shed allergy/asthma friendly superstar with an Einstein brain that wants nothing but to be your best friend in the world!
My interest in breeding started over 30 years ago with Cocker Spaniels. I saw what was happening to the breed in puppy mills, and it broke my heart. It became my goal through quality breeding standards to make available healthy, well-bred Cockers as a solution. I bring that same heart to Sunday Doodles, but events in my life have honed my focus to incorporating dogs in my program that exemplify the therapeutic capabilities in these dogs.
In 2020, we tragically lost our son. I had a litter of 5 week old puppies at the time that literally became my reason to get out of bed every morning. It was then that I realized at an even greater depth the healing power of these dogs and the comfort they provide. Raising these furry bundles of therapy has gone from something that I love to do to something I fully believe I am called to do. It is my passion to connect your family with a healthy, confident and well-socialized puppy that leaves my home and lands right in the middle of your heart!
